Her Power

This piece speaks of the grand power laced within all aspects of Mother Nature’s presence. She is wild: sometimes nurturing, sometimes destructive, always steeped in beauty. is a Toronto-based artist and muralist. ARTWORK 3

Hazy Days

24”x36”, acrylic and gold leaf on gallery depth birch panel. Painted using washes of acrylic to build this cloudscape, keeping the washes light so the beautiful wood grain shows through. A touch of gold leaf on the horizon finishes the piece. This piece reminds me of the end of summer, the haze of the late august sun slipping over the horizon, days swimming, paddle boarding, just being outside in the fresh air all day. Then taking the time to enjoy that beautiful end of day sky.

Unfurled Identities

This piece were created with the intention of reflecting on my layers of identity through the use of contrasting mediums. The colour palettes are almost identical: turquoise, white, black, diarylide yellow, pthalo blue, quinacridone magenta, quinacridone red, azo green gold. In the one piece, the acrylic ink flows freely across the canvas, representing the seamlessness and intuitiveness of how I live my life and create my art.
